Partial COD Orders

While most of our customers are genuinely wonderful, there has been a noticeable rise in a few cases where orders are placed and then rejected at the time of delivery. These instances not only cause us financial loss but also affect our ability to serve genuine customers smoothly.

To ensure a better shopping experience for everyone and to protect the integrity of our operations, all orders at Desmento are processed under our Partial COD (Cash on Delivery) system.

What is Partial COD?

Partial COD is a payment method where you pay 15% of your order value upfront at checkout, and the remaining balance (plus applicable COD charges, if any) is payable to the courier at the time of delivery.

Example:
If your product costs ₹1000, you will pay ₹150 (15%) in advance and ₹850 at delivery.

Why Pay an Advance?

The Partial COD system is designed to minimize fake or non-serious orders that lead to unnecessary courier and return costs. This helps us keep our process fair and efficient for genuine buyers.

Order Confirmation Process

  • Confirmation Message:
    All Partial COD orders require order confirmation via WhatsApp, SMS, or Email within 3 days of placing the order. You will receive a message from us for confirmation before dispatch.

  • Non-Response = Order Cancellation:
    If we do not receive your confirmation within 3 days, your order will be automatically cancelled. A cancellation message will be sent to your registered phone number.

  • Genuine Cases Covered:
    We understand that genuine buyers might sometimes miss the confirmation window. If your order was cancelled by mistake, simply reach out to us at hello@desmento.com, and we’ll be happy to help you reorder.

  • Incomplete Addresses:
    Even after confirmation, if the shipping address is incomplete or incorrect, we may choose not to process the order. Please ensure your address is accurate while placing an order.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

If you cancel your order after it has been dispatched, or if the courier returns the shipment due to customer unavailability, the 15% advance payment is non-refundable.

Once you pay the remaining balance on delivery, your order will be eligible under our general returns & refund policy, with applicable return charges.

Shipping & Delivery

  • We ship across India with full tracking support.

  • Free Delivery is available on all orders above ₹499.

  • Partial COD is available nationwide for your convenience.

  • Once your order is shipped, you’ll receive tracking details via Email.

  • For Rush Delivery, we will dispatch your order from our warehouse within 24 hours (business days only). Delivery time varies according to standard shipping timelines of our courier partners.

  • We use trusted Express/Air Shipping services through 3rd party courier companies such as BlueDart, Delhivery, Xpressbees, etc.

How to Place an Order with Partial COD

  1. Select your product(s) and choose Partial COD at checkout.

  2. Pay 15% of your order value securely online to confirm your order.

  3. The remaining balance will be collected by the courier at the time of delivery.
